For example, one study analyzed prostate cancer CTC with scRNA-seq technology, showing significant intra-patient heterogeneity for the expression of AR splice variants (ARv7) associated with resistance against anti-androgen treatment. Single Cell Methylation Sequencing for CTCs
Epigenetics contributes to molecular mechanisms leading to tumor cell transformation and systemic progression of cancer. DNA methylation acts as a major epigenetic mechanism within the complex network of mechanisms regulating gene expression. It is likely to play a key role in CTCs survival and regulation of their metastatic potential. Single Cell has established a robust single cell methylation sequencing platform that allows our clients to explore the epigenetic heterogeneity of tumor cells and CTCs at the single-cell level. We provide a variety of methods, such as bisulfite conversion followed by sequencing (BS-seq), whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS), single-cell reduced representation bisulfite sequencing (scRRBS) and single-cell post-bisulfite adaptor tagging (scPBAT), which can be used for single cell methylation analysis.
